Intuitive feelings can be extremely unpredictable,
but on top of that, they’re also unexplainable,
sometimes to the point that INFJs can’t even fully
understand it themselves. In fact, sometimes these
hunches aren’t even in agreement with what an INFJ
feels they should do logically. For example, if an
INFJ is in a friendship where from the outside it
seems like there’s a great connection, but there
is a persistent negative gut feeling surrounding
it, some INFJs wouldn’t think twice to end it,

can’t really control having these deep intuitive
abilities, but they can improve the precision and
understanding of their intuitive patterns over
time. INFJ intuition is like a muscle that grows
the more you use it, train it, and trust it. Yet,
at the same time it can get out of shape when
out of practice. And since it’s a difficult way
of thinking to relate to others with, sometimes
INFJs can fall out of touch and begin relying
on their other cognitive functions in turn. So how
exactly can these intuitive instincts be improved?
Well, by first acknowledging and trusting that
inner voice and then second, putting their
intuitive understandings into practice. Sounds
simple, but keeping with it is the real challenge.
By doing this even for the simplest of decisions,
slowly but surely, their dominant intuitive
function gets stronger and more easily utilized.
Number 4: INFJ intuition is visual by nature
Known for their vivid imaginations and ability
to mentally visualize potential outcomes,
INFJs naturally adapt to seeing and creating very
striking images in their mind. In fact, aside from
the mental images in their own minds, INFJs tend
to understand things through the use of symbols,
archetypes, illustrations, and abstract terms
compared to hard facts and memorization. When

finding, they rely heavily on things like symbols,
patterns, and metaphors to get their point across.
Actually, it doesn’t stop there. INFJs who are
in touch with their spiritual side may rely on
intuitive symbolism and synchronicities in
their day to day life as signs or answers
to their questions. And while this interest in
patterns can be confusing at times, even for
the INFJ themselves, they can be a powerful tool
when it comes to getting in touch with this gift.
Speaking of supernatural, when it comes to an
INFJ personality type, a well seasoned intuition
is what gives the INFJ their psychic stereotype.
Whether it’s experienced through visions,
callings, gut feelings, or flashes of insights,
this intuition becomes so well equipped to
different types of scenarios that they ultimately
lead the INFJ without the need of any type of
factual basis. The first few times this happens it
can feel unsettlingly unexplainable, but overtime,
this gift becomes second nature for an INFJ.
Of course, these insights aren't always immediate
projections, sometimes INFJs have to wait days or
always leave others speechless and skeptical.

running when being paid attention too, but

subconsciously absorbing information that
can be pieced together later down the line.

add the INFJ’s empathetic nature to the mix.
Situations that call for empathy or skepticism
cause INFJ intuition to be on high alert.
Sometimes such a high alert that it can be
difficult for this introspective personality
type to pay attention to anything other than
what their intuition is pushing them to focus on.
Number 7: It can feel different for every INFJ
Although all INFJ brain’s prefer to use intuition
as their dominant function when making decisions,
intuition in a slightly different way. Not
only do INFJs experience the actual feeling of
an intuitive hunch differently from one another
hunches may not always match up. In fact, since
this intuitive gift isn’t necessarily psychic
ability, it can only be rooted in perspective,
past experiences and collected information. And
of course, these factors vary from INFJ to INFJ,
showing that intuitive direction is not only
tailored to each INFJ’s higher good specifically,
but it also shows that it shouldn’t be relied on
by others. Each INFJ uses this inner compass to
guide them in the particular direction they need
to go in, but it shouldn’t always be relied on as
a basis of advice for others for this very reason.
